Phoenix Source & Select are currently seeking a qualified Mobile Plant & Light Vehicle Technician to join a reputable forklift manufacturer and service company. This is a hands-on position with a mix of onsite and field-based work, offering long-term opportunities and a clear path for progression.

Location: Wingfield (South Australia)

Shift Hours: Monday to Friday (Onsite & on the road) - Full time position

Hourly Rate: $37.37 – $41.00 per hour (based on experience, with the possibility for career growth)

Position Details:
The primary focus of this role is to carry out scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs on electric and internal combustion forklifts and other mobile plant equipment. Work will be performed in line with company standards and procedures, ensuring quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct planned maintenance and unscheduled repairs on forklifts and mobile plant equipment in a professional and timely manner.
• Respond to breakdowns within target response times (aiming to be onsite within 2 hours of the job being logged).
• Complete an average of 3–4 service jobs daily in line with team benchmarks.
• Ensure accurate recording of all work, travel, and labour time using mobile job systems (Pocket PC).
• Maintain consistent documentation in job reports and time sheets to reflect actual hours worked, avoiding unrecorded downtime.
• Carry out all preventive maintenance (PM) tasks assigned monthly and support additional ones as required.
• Actively participate in the Customer Care and Lead Generation Program by submitting at least one lead weekly in areas such as equipment upgrades, rental, or service enhancements.
• Ensure each job is followed up with accurate reporting and communication with the Customer Service Centre or Admin team.
• Adhere to company procedures for site safety, task execution, and equipment use (per PMP and Pocket PC guidelines).

Essential Requirements:

• Experience as a mechanic or mobile plant technician
• Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and perform efficient field repairs
• Proficiency using digital job tracking systems
• Strong work ethic, capable of managing multiple service calls daily
• Valid driver's licence
• Qualified Mechanic: Light Vehicles - Mobile Plant Experience
• Full Australian working rights required

Preferred but Not Required:

• LF Forklift Licence
• Experience with electric and battery-powered lift equipment
• Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems
• Qualified Mechanic with experience in forklifts, mobile plant, or light vehicles
