Are you a detail oriented Financial Accountant looking for a hands-on role in the construction industry? This is a great opportunity to join a well established business in Homebush, reporting directly to the company directors and with one Assistant Accountant while working closely with an external accountant on tax and compliance matters.

The Role

As the Financial Accountant you will take ownership of the month end close process, oversee financial reporting and lead one direct report who is responsible for AP, AR and bank reconciliations. You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance, accuracy and efficiency in the company's financial operations.

The role

• Manage the month-end close process and financial reporting
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions
• Work closely with an external accountant to handle tax compliance, BAS, and statutory reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Maintain accurate general ledger reconciliations
• Lead, mentor, and support one direct report

About You

• CA/CPA qualified or working towards
• Experience in financial accounting, ideally in construction inudstry
• Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations and reporting
• Confident in liaising with directors and external accountants
• Hands on approach with the ability to lead and mentor
