About the role

As a Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and success of Earth Civil Contracting PTY LTD', a leading civil infrastructure and road stabilisation contractor based in Picton, NSW. This is a part-time position that will allow you to develop your estimating skills and experience within a collaborative and dynamic team environment.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the estimating team in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for civil infrastructure and road stabilisation projects

Analysing project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation to identify and quantify required materials, labour, and equipment

Researching and compiling pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors

Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates

Maintaining detailed records and documentation throughout the estimating process

Continuously updating your knowledge of industry trends, construction methods, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

Demonstrated experience in an estimating or quantity surveying role, preferably within the civil construction or infrastructure industry

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Proficiency in using estimating software and spreadsheet applications

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team

A passion for the construction industry and a willingness to continuously learn and develop your skills
