Overview:
We are seeking a Solution or Technical Architect with proven expertise in Fluent Commerce Order Management Systems (OMS) to join our client's digital commerce transformation team. This is a key permanent role on the digital commerce transformation team, ideal for someone who thrives on designing scalable solutions, guiding cross-functional teams, and working closely with enterprise clients to solve complex challenges.

You'll be at the forefront of helping clients modernize their order, inventory, and fulfillment operations-placing Fluent Commerce at the heart of their commerce ecosystem and ensuring seamless integrations across ERP, eCommerce, and other critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect robust, scalable Fluent Commerce OMS solutions tailored to each client's operational and business goals.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, solution architecture design, and implementation planning activities.
• Define architecture patterns, integration models, and system flows across ERP, eCommerce, WMS, and POS platforms.
• Serve as a technical advisor to executive stakeholders-translating complex solutions into clear, business-aligned narratives.
• Support and mentor delivery teams, ensuring quality and consistency from architecture through to deployment.
• Help evolve our internal Fluent Commerce capability-contributing to best practices, tools, and thought leadership.

Skills & Experience:

• Direct, hands-on experience delivering at least one full-cycle Fluent Commerce implementation (ideally as an architect or technical lead).
• Deep understanding of omnichannel order management and distributed order orchestration within retail or commerce environments.
• Strong technical acumen in:
• Fluent Commerce configuration (rules engine, workflows, inventory, webhooks)
• Event-driven architecture and API integrations
• JavaScript/TypeScript or other modern backend frameworks
• Microservices architecture and cloud-native environments (preferably AWS)
• CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, and agile delivery
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially with C-level audiences.
• A passion for solving complex business challenges through elegant, practical architecture.

Preferred Exposure:

• Experience with MACH principles (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless)
• Integration with platforms like SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or leading WMS systems
• Consulting background or experience across multiple client environments
