About the Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Costing Officer to join the Finance team in this meaningful role responsible for:
- Providing senior support to the Manager – Clinical Costing Systems in the provision of accurate, reliable, relevant and timely clinical costing information.
- Supporting the provision and analysis of the District Network Return (DNR) for NSW Health and the National Hospital Data Collection that is submitted to the Commonwealth (via NSW Health) for National costing studies and the development of national cost weights.
- The development of, maintenance and progressing quality improvement in relation to clinical costing systems within the MLHD.
- Be the primary lead in the management and development of costing feeder systems, data including the accurate alignment of costs with patient activity (sourced from multiple data repositories) to calculate the cost-of-service provision at an individual encounter level.

About You
Our ideal candidate will:
- Hold related tertiary qualification and / or equivalent demonstrated extensive experience in the provision of business support and analysis services within a complex environment.
- Have a high-level understanding of clinical costing systems.
- Hold a current Class C driver’s licence and demonstrate willingness to travel long distances across the Health Service as required.
