About the Role
The IT Helpdesk Support Officer (known at Flinders as an IDS Service Delivery Officer), is responsible for providing service, support and advice to customers that satisfy their information and digital service needs. This includes updating, escalating and resolving requests while working closely with University staff, students, and other stakeholders.
The Service Desk is open from 8am until 6pm, and you will work an 8-hour day during those hours.

About You
As first point of contact for IDS customers on service delivery issues, you will receive and respond to requests from customers via any of the relevant service delivery channels available to customers. This requires exceptional interpersonal skills which enhance your ability to communicate with staff and customers across the diverse University community.
You are always willing to improve and grow your skills and help others to do so within the team. You will be analytical and experienced in using market leading service management systems, understand the ITIL framework and human-centred methodologies to support service delivery operations.
It is expected that the successful candidate will hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in Information Technology or relevant technical area, and / or possess equivalent relevant experience in an IT environment

Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, audio visual, simulation and event services, information security and identity access management services, and more.
