Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for a Data, Codification and Cataloguing Consultant based in Canberra to support Defence logistics by codifying items using MC-CAT and cataloguing them in ERP systems to ensure accurate inventory and supply chain data.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Codify materiel items using MC-CAT in accordance with Defence standards.
• Catalogue items in ERP systems to maintain accurate and compliant records.
• Liaise with stakeholders to verify item data and ensure correct classification.
• Maintain data integrity across codification and cataloguing processes.
• Support continuous improvement of logistics data management practices.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience in codification and cataloguing within Defence or similar environments.
• Knowledge of MC-CAT and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of inventory data standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Desirable: Formal qualifications in logistics, supply chain, or data management.
• Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
• In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be an inherent requirement.
