About the role

We are seeking an experienced Caterer/Cook to join our team at Beyond the Classroom. You will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality catering services for school camps at our campsites. Beyond the Classroom operate multiple campsites on the Fleurieu Peninsula including Willow Creek (15 minutes from Victor Harbor) and Narnu Farm (Hindmarsh Island). This is a casual position, offering flexible working hours with no weekend or school holiday work.

What you'll be doing

Prepare a range of delicious and visually appealing meals

Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented to the highest standards

Liaise with clients to understand their dietary requirements

Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards

Ordering of food and supplies

Contribute to the continuous improvement of catering operations

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Caterer/Cook or in a similar role within the Hospitality & Tourism industry

Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing meals

Strong organisational and time management abilities to coordinate catering services

Effective communication and customer service skills

Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices

A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively

About us

Beyond the Classroom run a wide range of adventure based activities in South Australia including surf lessons, mountain biking, abseiling, kayaking, bushwalking, adventure tourism and outdoor education activities and camps. The business operates 3 exclusive campsites, Willow Creek Adventure Camp near Victor Harbor, Narnu Farm on Hindmarsh Island, and Camp Illawonga at Swan Reach.

Beyond the Classroom is located on the Fleurieu Peninsula with the main office in Middleton and Depot in Willunga. The successful applicant can work at a single site, or between sites depending on your preference. The opportunity to work on remote camps in other locations throughout SA is also available on occassion.
