Adelaide Plasterboard Maintenance – Full Time – SA Based

About the Role

We’re expanding and looking for multiple experienced tradespeople to join our growing team. This full-time, hands-on role involves a range of internal repair and refurbishment tasks across residential homes and commercial buildings throughout South Australia.

You’ll be responsible for completing high-quality work in plasterboard installation and repair, tiling, and/or painting – depending on your trade background and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Plasterboard Installation & Repair

Accurately measure, cut and install plasterboard sheeting for walls and ceilings in new and existing structures

Repair damaged plasterboard by patching holes, fixing cracks, and replacing compromised sections

Tape joints, flush seams and sand surfaces to a smooth, paint-ready finish

Ensure all work complies with Australian building standards and maintains structural integrity

Identify and resolve underlying issues such as water damage or framing irregularities before beginning repairs

Wall & Floor Tiling

Plan and execute precise tile layouts for floors, walls, splashbacks, and wet areas

Remove old tiles and prepare surfaces by levelling, waterproofing, and priming as required

Cut and shape tiles using appropriate tools to fit custom areas (corners, curves, etc.)

Apply adhesives, lay tiles evenly, and grout to ensure clean, durable, and visually appealing finishes

Perform tile repairs and regrouting to restore surfaces without needing full replacement

Follow waterproofing protocols, particularly in bathrooms, laundries, and kitchens

Interior Painting & Surface Preparation

Prepare a variety of surfaces including plasterboard, timber and masonry by sanding, patching, filling, and priming

Apply high-quality paint finishes using rollers, brushes and/or spray equipment

Match colours and textures to existing surfaces for seamless touch-ups

Complete repaints of interior spaces following repair work or client upgrades

Maintain cleanliness of work areas, protect surrounding surfaces with drop sheets and masking

Ensure all finishes are neat, long-lasting, and meet client expectationsCollaborate with clients to ensure their needs are met with clear communication and professionalism

Follow all relevant OH&S protocols to maintain a safe worksite

Work efficiently and independently, or as part of a small team, depending on the job scope

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who’s not just qualified, but takes pride in their trade.

Essential Criteria:

Minimum 3 years' experience in plasterboard installation & repairs, tiling or painting

Trade qualification in one or more of the following: Plastering, Wall & Floor Tiling, Painting & Decorating

Proven ability to deliver high-quality finishes with minimal supervision

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and customer service skills

Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
