Salary range: $127,150 per annum - $144,444 per annum + 12% super and benefits

About the Opportunity:
The Manager – Acute Care Programs plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of acute care at NSW Ambulance. This position manages the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-impact clinical programs, driving strategic change initiatives that elevate care quality and patient outcomes across the state. With a strong focus on project management—including planning, stakeholder engagement, and milestone tracking—the role champions innovation and collaboration. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the Manager will implement innovative models of care that respond to evolving healthcare needs and set new benchmarks in acute care excellence.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will require the following experience and attributes:
- You have a background or interest in the delivery of acute care
- You are an advocate for driving clinical leadership in acute care settings (e.g., pre-hospital, ED, critical care)
- You have experience in delivering high quality, complex projects in a health-related field
- You are experienced at developing and implementing models of care within the health system, with strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
- You are passionate about driving change through complex settings

The average number of ambulance responses increased by 3.3 per cent over the past year. Factors contributing to increased activity include population growth, an ageing population and the associated increase in rates of illness.
In 2013/14 we provided 1,234,843 total responses (both emergency and non-emergency) compared to 1,219,262 total responses in 2012/13. There were on average 3383 responses per day - this is equivalent to a response every 26 seconds.
