About the Role
Our Rangers are valued members of the Community Safety and Emergency Management team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in promoting safe, welcoming neighbourhoods by educating the public, enforcing relevant local and state legislation, and undertaking proactive community patrols and investigations.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Advising and supporting residents and stakeholders on ranger services and compliance matters;
- Patrolling parks, streets, facilities, and known hotspots to deter antisocial behaviour, graffiti, and vandalism;
- Conducting investigations, inspections, and follow-ups in line with City policies;
- Applying education or enforcement responses where non-compliance is identified.

What You’ll Bring
We’re seeking professional, adaptable team players who are passionate about community service and thrive in high-paced, ever-changing environments.
You’ll ideally have:
- Qualifications in Municipal Law A & B (ROCS 1 & 2) or equivalent experience;
- Previous experience in regulatory or compliance-based roles;
- Animal handling skills or qualifications;
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills;
- A valid C Class Driver’s License and;
- Current First Aid Certificate.
This is a permanent role, working 80 hours per fortnight. You will work a roster which includes weekends and public holidays. There is an opportunity for job sharing of roles. If this interests you please indicate this in your cover letter.
