The Royal Darwin Hospital and Palmerston Regional Hospital Social Work Department have two positions for suitably qualified and experienced Social Workers. Social Workers, provide services to minimise the negative impacts of illness, medical treatments and hospitalisation on patients, their families and/or carers by supporting their social and emotional wellbeing through a range of professional interventions. Social Workers work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to support and assist patient care to address psychosocial issues and concerns and support a safe discharge back to the community.

Applicants must have a Social Work qualification that allows full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
