About the Role:
The Department for Environment and Water (DEW) is seeking a Scientific Officer - a skilled and dynamic individual to deliver strategic soil science initiatives that support South Australia's economic, environmental, and social prosperity. Based in Adelaide, this role focuses on conducting innovative projects, providing expert advice, organising and further developing our soil data and information products, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to support our soil resources. Contract:
Up to 31 December 2027
Essential Qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or equivalent is essential.
Special Conditions:
May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
A current driver's licence is essential, along with a willingness to undertake four wheel drive training.
May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of normal hours of work.
Remuneration:
PO2 $88,255 min - $97,667 max p.a.
