The Department of Education is implementing a range of reforms to improve the educational opportunities for every South Australian child and to better meet the needs of the South Australian community. Pivotal to these reforms is the department's intent to deliver a high performing, world class information and communication technology service. The Platform Support Officer plays a vital role in supporting these objectives. The role is responsible for administering the department's ServiceNow environment and providing expert guidance and support to other members of the Platform Support team. These functions are essential to the successful delivery of the directorate's strategic objectives.

The role also includes responsibility for implementing and managing ICT projects to ensure defined outcomes are achieved. Contributions made in this position will support the development and adoption of innovative techniques and methodologies that inform policy development and implementation, particularly in relation to ICT application support and enhancement.
