We are a small family business located in Highett. We have been in the trade for over 40 years. We pride ourselves on the quality of our products and the standard of service we provide. Our list of clients include property owners as well as a large clientele of real estate agents. All of our work comes from word of mouth as we have not had the need to advertise since the first years of operation.

About the role

This is a full time position (subcontractors please do not apply)
Hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
Part-time negotiable for the right candidate (salary pro-rated)

Your main activities will be visiting people's homes, measuring windows, showing samples, and giving advice about the best solution for their window furnishing needs. (No sales involved). Once customer goes ahead, returning to fit the blinds and curtains.

You will also be required to do basic blind repairs. Experience with blind repairs is an advantage but not essential.

Salary based on relevant experience and knowledge.

Work 37.5hrs per week but get paid for 40hrs

Toyota Hiace Van (including petrol) will be provided*
Following probation you would be able to use the vehicle for the work-home commute.
If you prefer to use your own vehicle (it must be suitable for the job and approved by us) an arrangement may reached.

The successful applicant must:

Have at least 2 years experience measuring and installing blinds and curtains

Be confident in your abilities

Enjoy dealing with people and have great customer service skills

Be able to lift and carry heavy objects and be comfortable with ladder work

Be able to problem solve and trouble shoot any issues that arise to ensure that installation goes on smoothly.

Have great communication skills

Be able to read and write fluent English

Have attention to detail

Be honest and reliable

Experience in blind motorisation is an advantage

Drivers licence essential - Vehicle provided

Police check and Working with Children will be required after commencement
