About us
The Penrith Electorate Office is the point of contact for constituents and local community groups to engage with the Member for Penrith regarding state government services and responsibilities.
About the position
The position holder will be the initial point of contact for all constituent enquiries. Administrative functions are central to this role to support the Member, and to ensure the efficient operation of the electorate office.
Local knowledge is highly desirable but not essential.
Skills required include social media, media monitoring, designing ads for publication and drafting statements for posting online.

Selection Criteria
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to hear from and liaise with community groups, government and non-government organisations, and the media.
- Excellent writing skills including the ability to prepare correspondence, briefing notes, submissions, speeches, newsletters and media releases.
- Demonstrated superior organisational skills to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement and ability to perform at a high standard under limited supervision and within a team environment.
- Good word processing/keyboard/ computer and social media skills for working in an office environment.
