Key Responsibilities:

Work under the direction of the Director, providing tailored assistance to students with various learning needs

Offering expertise and designing literacy and numeracy learning programs

Provide individual or small group tutoring to deliver targeted instruction in literacy, numeracy, and organisational skills

Assessing student strengths and areas of concern to draw up a comprehensive plan that outlines all the learning outcomes

Meticulously organise and prepare lessons and resources for tutoring sessions

Tracking student development, providing feedback, and contributing to assessments and report

Communicate with students, teachers, parents/carers and allied professionals to provide updates on progress and ensure effective support.

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting diverse learners.

Skills and Attributes:

Strong knowledge of the subject matter being taught and the ability to explain concepts clearly

To adapt teaching methods and strategies to meet the individual needs of students

To organize and manage time effectively, plan sessions and prepare resources beforehand

To be empathetic towards managing students' behaviour

To communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents/carers, allied professionals to build rapport and foster positive relationships

Knowledge about AI driven platforms to provide personalised learning support to students is desirable but not essential

To assist with social media engagement and presence is desirable but not essential

Requirements:

Proficient in verbal and writtenn English

Current Working with Children Check clearance

Teaching degree or Certicate IV in Education Support

Must have valid work rights in Australia

Ability to deliver both face-to-face and online tutoring sessions effectively

Part-time availaibility including after-school hours and weekends
