About the role

The role of the Welcome Back to Country (WBTC) Reunions Officer will be responsible for the planning and development of Welcome Back to Country client reunions that may be held in either Victoria or Interstate.

This will include accompanying and supporting clients and their family on their WBTC reunions in accordance with Link-Up policies, procedures and standards.

About You

• Commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
• Certificate III in community services or equivalent or willingness to work towards attaining higher qualifications
• Demonstrated understanding in working with Aboriginal families and children
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, culturally appropriate and respectful way with a range of stakeholders including staff, Government and agency partners and clients
• High level organisational skills including time management and the ability to work as an effective team member
• Capacity to work independently and to meet deadlines set.
• Ability to travel throughout Victoria and interstate and undertake overnight stopovers.
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Requirements: Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended).
