HarperLloyd Recruitment is a legal specialist recruitment firm working with private practice firms, and we are currently partnering with a highly regarded national law firm to find a Legal Assistant to join their Brisbane Family Law team in a full-time, office-based capacity.

Supporting both senior and junior fee earners, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, excellent client service, and strong matter management in a sensitive and rewarding area of law.

The Role

Your duties will include:

▪️ Preparing, formatting, and finalising legal documents and correspondence

▪️ File management including archiving, safe custody, and digital systems

▪️ Liaising with clients, barristers, report writers, and mediators

▪️ Diary management and workflow coordination

▪️ End-to-end billing, including debtor follow-up and invoicing

About You

You will be someone with:

▪️ A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Legal Assistant role, ideally in family law or litigation

▪️ Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of initiative

▪️ Confident client communication and a calm, empathetic approach

▪️ Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks

▪️ A team-oriented mindset and a commitment to professional excellence
