Join a well‑established organisation that provides essential services and programs to a network of remote communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. The organisation has been operating for several decades and employs hundreds of staff across a variety of functions including health, infrastructure, community development, and cultural programs. It plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, growth, and sustainability of the communities it serves.

The Role

Live and work in a remote community, building strong relationships with residents and local leaders.

Partner with the council to design and deliver programs in areas such as youth development, employment, and cultural preservation.

Facilitate consultations, meetings, and workshops to ensure initiatives meet community needs.

Provide training and mentoring to build local capacity in governance, financial management, and project planning.

Support communities in managing resources effectively and meeting governance and compliance requirements.

About You

Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Social Work, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience working in remote or Indigenous communities, with strong cultural awareness and communication skills.

Skilled in community‑led program design, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Passion for capacity building, mentoring, and empowering local leadership.

Adaptable, proactive, and committed to living and working in a remote community.
