Job description:

SCHCADS Award: $44 to $48 per hour + super

Your Role

This rewarding role places you at the frontline, supporting people accessing specialist domestic and family violence services. This includes crisis and transitional accommodation, case management, and tenancy support. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team that values empathy, continuous learning and a client-centred approach.

Your Responsibility

Provide culturally appropriate, trauma-informed support to clients

Conduct initial client assessments in line with SHS Practice Guidelines

Manage accurate and timely records in the Client Information System

Uphold privacy and confidentiality in line with Society policies and legislation

Keep up to date with government policies relevant to homelessness and DFV services

Build and maintain effective relationships with external support agencies

Participate in professional development and training activities

Profile description:

You Will Need

This is a female-identified role under Section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW)

Certificate IV or above in Community Services or a related field, or equivalent experience

Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, using culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approaches

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Good understanding of community services, including AOD, mental health, legal support, income support, and housing pathways

Sound knowledge of contemporary domestic and family violence practice

Confident using Microsoft Office and client databases

NSW driver licence (unencumbered) with confidence to drive across the Inner West
