HiTalent Recruitment is seeking a Mental Health Worker to join a PHN-funded Program in Newcastle. This role is full time hours, with access to supervision and support.

Are you a compassionate and skilled mental health professional who wants to support individuals who experience complex mental health in the community?

We are working exclusively with a well-respected not-for-profit organisation to seek a dedicated Mental Health Worker to join their team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in walking alongside people experiencing mental health challenges by offering practical, emotional, social support.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for:

Empowering clients to be independent, creating goal plans collaboratively with clients and providing psychosocial support

Support clients in accessing mental health systems and services.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

Actively participate in individual and group supervision in addition to professional development activities.

Contribute to program development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Uphold organisational values and policies while maintaining a commitment to quality service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Have experience providing support to clients presenting with mental health challenges

Hold a minimum tertiary qualification in Social & Community Services.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Have a NSW Drivers Licence

An understanding of recovery-orientated mental health practice
