About the IM Officer - Digitisation
Our Information Management (IM) Team is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of Council’s corporate information, ensuring compliance with the Public Records Act 1973 and Public Records Office of Victoria (PROV) standards. Our team also oversees print-room services, courier operations, FOI & Privacy compliance, and quality assurance.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Information Management Officer to join our IM Team in a permanent full-time capacity. In this role, you will work closely with the IM Project Supervisor to provide practical expertise, advice, and support in the digitisation of hard copy documentation. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient delivery and resourcing of document digitisation for all incoming correspondence. Additionally, you will offer ad-hoc support and advice in providing access to our archive collection, with a focus on scan-on-demand activities.
· This is a full-time Temporary position until September 2026
· This is a band 4 Role with a salary from $70,999 plus 12% superannuation
· Support work life balance with Rostered Days Off and Hybrid Working Arrangements
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the efficient delivery and resourcing of document digitisation for all incoming correspondence.
Provide practical expertise, advice, and support in the registration of hard copy and electronic documentation.
Offer ad-hoc support and advice in the provision of access to the archive collection, specifically scan-on-demand activities.
Occasionally participate in process improvement projects and activities to enhance information governance and digital maturity across Council.
Maintain compliance with the Public Records Act 1973 and PROV standards in all information management activities.
Experience and skills we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Experience in information management, particularly in document digitisation, desirable but not essential.
• Strong understanding of the Public Records Act 1973 and PROV standards.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to provide practical expertise and support in information management services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
