The Role
Provides technical advice and leadership on issues related to the development, implementation and management of environmental aspects of mine closure and rehabilitation activities for mining operations. This can include project management, preparation of reports and development of technical notes, policies or guidelines.
Assesses and reports on mine closure plans and other environmental documents for a range of mining operations, including highly complex sites.
Provides technical advice relevant to area of specialisation relating to mining or mine closure and rehabilitation.
Leads or assists in divisional training programs relevant to the position and assists in mentoring and coaching less experienced staff members.
Prepares responses to ministerial and parliamentary questions and requests for technical advice from other government agencies.
Assists in operational projects as directed by the General Manager or Team Leader.
Qualifications & Licenses
A Bachelor of Science/Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or a similar discipline.
Current Western Australian C or C-A class drivers’ licence) or equivalent
