We are currently hiring experienced Orange Door practitoners for short term contracts ranging from 4 to 12 weeks.

Locum roles vary between organistaions, some fully remote, some hybrid and some onsite.

Locum rates range from $63.70 to $69.60

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, culturally responsive intake, assessment, and referrals

Work collaboratively with other professionals across child protection, family services, and family violence sectors

Use your professional judgement and evidence-based frameworks to assess risk and safety

Support clients with information, short-term interventions, and referral pathways

Maintain accurate records and case notes in line with policy and legislative requirements

About You

Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field

Minimum 1-2 years' experience in family violence, child and family welfare, or community services

Strong understanding of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005, and the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Framework

Skilled in risk assessment and safety planning

Confident communicator who thrives in a team environment

Committed to inclusive, person-centred, and trauma-informed practice
