Senior Accountant | Sunshine Coast Location | Pathway to Client Manager

This progressive, people-focused accounting firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. You'll work closely with experienced leaders, manage your own client portfolio, and be supported with a clear pathway to Client Manager.

Open to ambitious Intermediates! If you have 2–3 years’ experience in public practice, strong technical skills, and a hunger to grow, we’d love to hear from you.

THE ROLE
Working directly with a highly experienced manager and alongside a supportive team of professionals, your responsibilities will include:

Managing your own client portfolio across a broad range of industries and entity types

Preparation of BAS/IAS, financial statements and tax returns (excluding SMSF)

Division 7A, CGT and FBT calculations

Attending and contributing to client meetings and advisory discussions

Reviewing the work of junior and intermediate accountants

Supporting the continued development and mentoring of junior team members

Building strong relationships with clients and delivering a high standard of service

ABOUT YOU
You’re an experienced public practice accountant who can confidently handle a range of tax and compliance work, while supporting your team and engaging directly with clients.

You will bring:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Australian accounting firm

CA/CPA qualified or currently undertaking

Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge

Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members

Exceptional communication skills — verbal, written and interpersonal

A proactive mindset and ability to work autonomously
