About the Role

As a Machine Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the ongoing upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of food production equipment and machinery. Your work will help ensure production continues safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

· - Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment

· - Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs in a timely manner

· - Assist with equipment installation and upgrades

· - Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

· - Ensure all work is completed in accordance with food safety and WHS (Work Health & Safety) standards

· - Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns during shifts

· - Support continuous improvement efforts in production reliability and efficiency

Requirements

· - Previous experience in mechanical maintenance within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment

· - Trade qualification in mechanical fitting, engineering, or a related field (highly regarded)

· - Strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems

· - Ability to troubleshoot and repair production machinery

· - Knowledge of HACCP and GMP standards

· - Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach

· - Availability for rotating shifts and weekend work if required
