We currently have an opportunity for a Property Specialist to join our Infrastructure and Liveability Department.
In the role of Property Specialist you will lead the preparation, implementation, and management of tasks associated with the divestment and acquisition of property to support Council’s property portfolio.
This role is vital to achieving the Council’s objectives for future property transactions and enhancing the quality and continuity of the Council’s service delivery.
What we offer...
- Temporary full-time position, 35 hours per week until August 2027
- Annual salary from $90,676 to $99,970
(salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience) - Progressive annual salary up to $110,217
- Plus 12% superannuation.
What you'll need to be successful in the role...
You will have strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to assess and interpret complex information. Your exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and persuasively.
In addition, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in property management, development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Extensive experience and strong commercial acumen within the development and property industry
- Proven track record in negotiating complex property transactions, demonstrating strategic and effective negotiation techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, particularly the Local Government Act, and the ability to interpret and apply Council policies effectively
- A demonstrated ability to handle complaints professionally and effectively, ensuring satisfactory resolutions
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
