We're on the lookout for an exceptional Grounds Person / Assistant Track Curator to support our Track Curator at Darwin Greyhounds Association. This role will be based in Winnellie, Northern Territory, at our fantastic Darwin Greyhound Racecourse.

About Us:

At Darwin Greyhounds Association, greyhound racing is our passion. Darwin Greyhound Association is the only greyhound race club in the Northern Territory, entrusted with the comprehensive development and promotion of the state's greyhound racing industry. We oversee the ongoing growth of racing, promoting Northern Territory racing to local, national, and international audiences. This includes funding races, providing stakes and prize money, managing the racing venue, and ensuring the smooth operation of race day activities. Our work is driven by a commitment to growing and sustaining the racing industry, with a strong focus on animal welfare and integrity.

The Role:

Join us at Darwin Greyhounds Track, where you'll:

· Keep our turf top-notch by replacing divots, watering it regularly, and assisting with system maintenance.

· Use and care for turf tools and equipment, including mowers, brush cutters, chainsaws, handheld power tools, HP tractors, implements, and light trucks.

· Work with specialist gear to maintain our track.

· Pitch in for Greyhound Track maintenance, from grading to watering.

· Help with general grounds and horticultural tasks.

About You:

We want more than just skills – attitude matters. If you're an outdoor enthusiast with a fantastic attitude and:

· Know your way around turf equipment, such as tractors and mowers.

· Have a proven track record of maintaining grounds, ideally at a Greyhound Track.

· Thrive in a team.

· Champion workplace safety.

· Embrace flexibility and initiative.

· Have availability to do overtime for race preparation and meetings.

· Hold a driver's license.
