Long Day Care service, Alice Springs, NT

We are looking for an Assistant Director to join our team at BNC, a not-for-profit 57 place service. Full time or part time position available, from $36 per hour.

Opportunity for a Director Maternity leave cover for the right applicant.

The Assistant Director acts as the centres 2IC, collaborating closely with the centres Director. The Assistant Director will mentor and guide educators, float across the rooms to offer hands-on support to ensure smooth daily operations and support the operational requirements of the centre.

Who you are:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood (or working towards)

Leadership experience in early childhood education, with a strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an approachable leadership style

Knowledge of software systems and administration experience

Understanding of regulations, policies and procedures relating to early learning

Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and team members

Experience working in a multicultural team, preferably in Early Childhood setting

· Have a WWCC, Police Check, CPR, Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate, or willingness to obtain
