About the Role:

As a Metal Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding a variety of metal structures according to detailed engineering and design specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring our products meet high standards of safety, durability, and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

· Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints to determine job requirements for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components

· Use various tools, such as shears, brakes, and punches, to cut, shape, and form materials into desired shapes and sizes using hand tools and metal cutting machines.

· Perform various processes such as riveting, soldering and welding (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC) to join fabricated metal parts, ensuring high-strength and quality finishes in line with engineering standards.

· Examine welds for bead penetration and precision

· Set up and operate metal fabrication machines and tools to produce parts and components to precise measurements and tolerances.

· Install metal products and components, including ductwork, HVAC systems, and roofing, following established installation techniques and procedures.

· Measure, mark, and lay out work pieces using measuring tools and equipment, such as callipers, rulers, and squares, to ensure accurate dimensions and fit.

· Identify and troubleshoot issues or defects in sheet metal products or installations and make necessary repairs or adjustments. Readjust and rework components and assemblies where faults, misalignments, or defects are detected during fabrication or testing.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, including properly storing tools and equipment, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

· Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries while working with sheet metal.

· Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure projects are completed on time and meet client requirements.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience Requirements:

· Minimum Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or closely related field

· At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant metal fabrication or engineering role

· Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and deliver high-quality, precise work

· Proficient in various welding techniques and fabrication tools

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
