What we are looking for:

This is a newly created permanent role, ideal for someone looking to take ownership in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You’ll be stepping into a business where finance has been managed by a combination of operational staff and bookkeepers, and where your input will help shape the function moving forward.

Role Responsibilities:

Oversee preparation of financial reports and month-end close

Manage BAS statements and ATO Correspondence

Payroll Management to Ensure timely and accurate submission of employee timesheets on a regular basis Support day-to-day finance operations, including reconciliations

Act as the finance point of contact for internal stakeholders such account lawyers, banks and insurers

Monitoring the accounts inbox for multiple companies and administering the full AP and AR Function including entering invoices and month end reconciliation

All company banking activities

Assist with implementing better processes and reporting structures

Our ideal candidate will have the following

Previous experience in a hands-on Financial or Management Accountant role

Background in construction is beneficial

Excellent communication and time management skills

CA/CPA qualified or working towards

MYOB experience desirable

Minimum 3 years accountant experience

Excellent time and priority management skills

Previous experience in the concrete and civil commercial and domestic (optional) building industries

Must have a drivers licence and own car
