Position: Automotive Electrician
Location: Derrimut, VIC
Full-time position
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per annum (excluding superannuation)
Fuelcraft Pty Ltd, trading as Liquip Victoria, is based in Derrimut, Victoria, and services the Truck, Tanker and Petroleum Storage industry. We are a growing and expanding business currently looking for a skilled and experienced Automotive Electrician to join our team. This is a full time position.
The position:
This position is an exciting full time requirement for a business that has seen steady growth over the past 3 years.
The duties and responsibilities:
Electrical System Diagnosis: Identifying issues with electrical systems in vehicles, including wiring, batteries, and electronic components.
Repair and Replacement: Fixing or replacing faulty electrical parts, such as starters, alternators, and sensors.
Installation: Installing new electrical components or systems, such as audio systems, alarms, or lighting.
Testing: Conducting tests on electrical systems using diagnostic tools to ensure they function correctly.
Wiring and Circuit Repair: Repairing or replacing damaged wiring and ensuring that circuits are functioning properly.
Staying Updated: Keeping up with advancements in automotive technology and electrical systems to provide the best service.
Customer Interaction: Communicating with customers about their vehicle's electrical issues and explaining the necessary repairs or services.
The key attributes and skills required for this position:
Qualifications: A relevant Certificate III (or equivalent) in the trade including at least 2 years on the job training, or a relevant Certificate IV (or equivalent) in the trade, or alternatively at least 3 years full time relevant work experience necessary to acquire the skills required to perform the role.
Work experience: Minimum one year full time relevant work experience
Heavy Vehicle exposure essential
Able to read job specification / Electrical drawings
Be able to develop layouts
Ability to follow instructions and follow through
Work independently OR in a team environment
Able to multi-task
Must have an eye and strong attention for detail
Previous experience in flameproof fuel vehicles would be an advantage
Must have an extremely good work ethic
Must be punctual and on time every day
High quality workmanship and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
