Category 5 Labour Management is seeking an Fabrication/Workshop Supervisor to join a long-standing WA-owned engineering company based at the world-class Australian Marine Complex (AMC) in Henderson. With 40+ years’ experience servicing the mining, oil & gas, defence and marine industries, this client delivers specialist maintenance and surface treatment services that extend asset life and reduce costs.

You’ll oversee all fabrication works across the Henderson workshop, ensuring delivery of jobs in line with scope, timeline, quality and safety standards.

Location: Henderson WA 6166 Roster: Monday - Friday 6am start Employment Type: Labour hire 3-month contract with the view to permanent Pay Rate: $60-$70/hr flat (negotiable based on experience)
Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all work meets client specs, quality standards, and safety systems
• Lead and mentor the fabrication team to maintain high morale and productivity
• Plan and allocate resources to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Maintain accurate asset registers and ensure all job documentation is complete
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure compliance with company standards
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost savings

To be considered, you will need the following skills, knowledge & experience:

• Trade qualifications in fabrication or related discipline
• Proven leadership experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive team performance
• Sound knowledge of safety legislation and commitment to best practices
