About the role

Bakers Delight Meadow Mews is seeking a Qualified Baker and or a Baker's Assistant to join our team in Kings Meadows, Launceston, Tasmania. As a full-time position, you will be an integral part of our bakery, responsible for producing high-quality baked goods and assisting with various tasks within the bakery operations.

What you'll be doing

Mixing and shaping dough for a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods

Operating bakery equipment, such as ovens, mixers and slicers, to ensure efficient and consistent production

Monitoring the proving and baking processes to ensure optimal results

Icing and packaging finished products for distribution

Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, following food safety and hygiene protocols

Assisting with inventory management and stock replenishment

Collaborating with the bakery team to meet production targets and customer demands

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in baking or equivalent experience in a retail or commercial bakery setting

Proficiency in preparing a wide range of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and other specialty items

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and production procedures accurately

Excellent time management and multitasking skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods

A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the baking industry
