Our client are looking for a workshop fitter to join their facility based on the southside of Brisbane. They need a qualified mechanical fitter with experience working in a facility.

This role will keep you busy till the end of the year with possibly to extend and go permanent. There is also a possibility you will need to work out in the field as well.

Benefits:

• $56.00/ph + super
• $27.52/day travel allowance
• Monday - Friday Role ~ Home every night!
• 6am - 2:30pm: Mon - Thurs
• 6am - 12pm: Fri
• Some Overtime

Duties:

• Carrying out a range of mechanical works on fixed and mobile process equipment
• Assemble spooling and mechanical components including valves and instruments to the required standard
• Perform factory acceptance tests
• Maintenance tasks, inspections and warranty repairs
• Ensure equipment is maintained to industry and regulatory requirements
• Assist with fabrication works

What you need:

• Relevant mechanical trade qualification
• Minimum 3 years post trade experience in SMP Fitting
• Manual machining and in-situ machining competency
• Flange Management experience
• Australian driver’s license
• Working at Heights Certificate (Desirable)
• Instrument Tubing/Swagelok experience (Desirable)
• Confined space (Desirable)
• Dogging (Desirable)
