Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Psychologist to join our practice as an independent contractor. The successful candidate will work exclusively with children and adolescents, offering a range of assessments, therapy/intervention, and support to help them overcome emotional, developmental, behavioural, and psychological challenges. As a contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule while benefiting from the reputation and steady referral flow of an established practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for children and adolescents.
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
Provide individual, group, and or family therapy sessions.
Address a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, behavioural concerns, trauma, social skill difficulties and low self-esteem.
Experience in supporting children and adolescents with Autism, including PDA profiles, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, Anxiety and/or Depression, ODD, Specific Learning Disorders, Developmental Delays and or Intellectual Developmental Disorder.
Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain detailed and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Participate in team meetings or case consultations as needed.
Qualifications:
AHPRA Registration as a Registered Psychologist.
5+ years clinical experience working with children and adolescents post registration.
Proven experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of child development and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
Public liability and Professional indemnity insurance (required for all contractors).
