Are you a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, or Clinical Psychology Registrar looking for an engaging and supportive practice? About the Role

We are seeking a caring clinician to join our team for a minimum of 2 days week, starting immediately (with flexibility if needed). In this role, you would focus on working with child and adolescent clients facing challenges related to eating disorders and body image concerns, as well as mood, anxiety and adjustment difficulties. We are looking for someone eager to learn and grow in their clinical practice, utilising evidence-based approaches with a client-centered and a willingness to develop skills in reflective practice. If you have a keen interest in therapeutic approaches like CBT-E or Maudsley FBT, or wish to explore broader treatment modalities such as psychotherapy, interpersonal therapy or narrative therapy, we encourage you to apply.

Our practice, with over 10 years of experience, has recently relocated to a brand-new, purpose-built clinic near the new Crows Nest Metro. The Practice is a leading provider of innovative and holistic healthcare services in the Lower North Shore community. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to delivering the highest quality of care to our clients, with a focus on evidence-based practice and a collaborative approach. The Practice was founded, and is run by two practising psychologists, with an emphasis on looking after clients and clinicians, and a key value and practice within the team is burn out prevention. We offer competitive remuneration under a service agreement model, administrative support, and the flexibility to manage your hours and patient load independently. Importantly, we are committed to supporting your professional development, including guidance around the registrar program or ongoing professional development. .

Essential Criteria:

Eligibility to be a Medicare Provider

Must be able to work Sat and/ or Friday

Face-to-face role (some Telehealth, but primarily in-person)

Experience working with children and/or young people

A strong desire to work within the field of eating disorders (or relevant experience)

Current AHPRA registration

Current Professional Indemnity Insurance

Current Police Check

Current Working with Children Check

Must have general registration; this position is not open to provisional psychologists. Please apply only if you currently hold registration status or will be eligible in early 2025.
