Redpath Partners is looking for a Bookkeeper/Account Officer to take ownership of accounts payable and receivable for our client’s construction business. They are a well-established property developer with a strong reputation in residential and mixed-use projects.

This role is key in supporting financial operations, transactional processes, and reporting. You will work closely with the General Manager, external accountants, and project teams to manage the day-to-day financial administration of the business. Office based role in CBD.

About the Role:

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, coding & payment runs
• Reconcile supplier statements, issue claims/invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients on financial matters
• Support project teams to ensure purchases and claims align with budgets and contracts
• Track cash flow, maintain payment schedules, and report on account status and aged balances
• Assist with monthly reconciliations, job cost reporting, and BAS preparation

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar Accounts Manager, Accounts Officer, or Bookkeeper role.
• Strong understanding of both accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Clear communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
• Experience in the construction or property industry
