SENIOR PAEDIATRIC PHYSIOTHERAPIST

PART TIME PERMANENT POSITION - FLEXIBLE HOURS

0.7 FTE

START DATE: 1 September 2025 (negotiable)

We are looking for an experienced paediatric physiotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years experience in private/community based paediatrics.

You will have opportunity to assess and treat a wide range of developmental, musculoskeletal, and complex conditions; and work in a spacious, well equipped clinic.

This position includes clinic based work, community based work, Aquatic Physiotherapy, group programs and special events, such as our Zoo day.

Stepping Forward Therapy Services is looking for an established Physiotherapist to join our dedicated and growing paediatric team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with babies through to young adults, assessing and treating a wide range of conditions, including plagiocephaly, developmental delay, cerebral palsy and complex neurological disorders. Internal Professional Development occurs regularly, mentorship is available, and funding for external professional development is available.

We have established relationships with other allied health and medical disciplines, and actively engage in a multidisciplinary approach.

About the role:

Stepping Forward is looking for a senior clinician that enjoys managing their own caseload, and also mentoring and teaching other members in the team. The ideal candidate is an excellent manager of their time, has excellent clinical skills, and enjoys mentoring and supporting other team members with a focus on applicable skill development with encouragement. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a broad range of ages and conditions, that they have a Life Long Learner mentality towards their own professional journey.

Candidates experienced in complex assessment and prescription of equipment/assistive technology will also enjoy the role. A proactive, multidisciplinary approach to supporting children and their families in reaching their goals and meeting their needs is valued at Stepping forward.

You will join a supportive and enthusiastic team of experienced physiotherapists and administrative staff and build collaborative relationships with other health professionals.

Requirements:

Completed Bachelor of Physiotherapy, or equivalent.

Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

Current drivers licence and car.

Right to work in Australia, no restrictions.

Current Working With Children Check and Police Check.

Professional Indemnity $20M.

Preference will be given to a Physiotherapist who:

has minimum 5 years experience in paediatrics.

demonstrates excellent communication with children, parents and peers

has experience in assessment and treatment of children from infancy to adolescence and is proactive in their treatment planning and service delivery

has experience in disability and equipment prescription

has a sound working understanding of a range of paediatric conditions, both neurological, developmental and musculoskeletal

is motivated, takes initiative with their learning and seeks out support where appropriate
