Our teams deliver well known and trusted programs across Western Australia to help body and mind across the lifespan including ALIVE, headspace, Street Doctor, NDIS Support Coordination, Commonwealth Home Support Program and a variety of other allied health and support services.

The Active Life Enhancing Intervention (ALIVE) Program is a person-centred, recovery focused suicide and self-harm intervention program and our team of dedicated clinicians deliver engaging, recovery-focused individual therapeutic interventions, support group sessions and educational programs to clients and the broader community. This part time role is primarily responsible for facilitating excellence in mental health care through providing local clinical leadership to our North metropolitan team, in collaboration with the broader Mental Health leadership group.

Key duties include:

• Maintaining excellent interpersonal skills, acting as a positive role model in all clinical, professional and organisational matters and promoting a collaborative team approach to decision-making
• Ensuring high quality services and providing leadership, motivation and advocacy in times of change
• Assisting the team leader to manage the recruitment and orientation, and the ongoing allocation, professional development and performance of staff
• Providing clinical supervision and day-to-day assistance and debriefing to the team, escalating to the team leader where appropriate
• Directing and participating in advanced complex care/interventions
• Actively contributing to the review, development and improvement of the service and related policies, procedures and other standards
• Acting as a link between clients, their families and carers to the organisation

We are seeking applicants with:

• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing
• Registration with AHPRA or AASW
• Minimum 5 years experience in professional practice
• Demonstrated clinical supervision skills and the ability to facilitate the professional development and pastoral care of team members, including early career clinicians
• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining effective and appropriate communication with the Team Leader and South Clinical Lead
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship skills
• Demonstrated strong organisational skills including the ability to manage workloads and achieve outcomes in a dynamic environment
• Current working with children check and national police certificate dated within 6 months, or willingness to obtain
• Preparedness to travel to mixed work locations across the Perth metropolitan area

The salary for this position is $69.25 per hour ($136,838 per annum full time equivalent). Additional benefits include:
