Are you an allied health professional who believes in neurodiversity-affirming practice? Do you want to work somewhere that values connection, creativity, and genuine impact? Welcome to The Neuro Nest.

At The Neuro Nest, we’re not your typical allied health service. We are a vibrant, neurodiversity-affirming, family centred practice that provides meaningful, respectful, and empowering support for neurodivergent children, teens, young adults and their families.

We're on a mission to reshape what therapy looks and feels like with curiosity, collaboration, and care.

We’re currently on the lookout for purpose-led, values-aligned, and fully qualified allied health professionals who want more from their career than KPIs and tick-boxes. Right now, we’re welcoming applications from:

Occupational Therapists

Speech Pathologists

Psychologists

Social Workers

Developmental Educators

and other qualified therapists

What We Do (and Why It Matters)

At the Nest, we support neurodivergent young people across a wide developmental range, focusing on:

Emotional regulation, interoception, and sensory wellbeing

Play-based, interest-led communication and connection

Executive functioning and daily living skills

Identity, self-advocacy and autonomy

Family capacity building and wraparound support

Collaborative consultation with schools, educators, and community partners

Functional assessments and affirming diagnostic input (where appropriate)

We prioritise relationships over rigid programs, autonomy over compliance, and play over pressure.

Therapy at The Neuro Nest is creative, consent-based, curious, and kind. We don’t “fix” kids, we walk alongside them, honouring their perspectives and co-creating support that makes sense to them and their families.

What makes working here different?

🪺 We’re a team-first practice — You’ll work alongside a close-knit, interdisciplinary group who genuinely
collaborate, reflect, and lift each other up.

🎨 There’s room for your creativity — We don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Your ideas are welcomed and
celebrated.

🌿 Sustainable, not burnt-out — Reasonable caseloads, admin support, longer sessions, and no unrealistic billable
targets.

📚 Ongoing growth is built in — Regular internal supervision, reflective practice, and career development
opportunities.

💛 People over productivity — We invest in relationships, both with our clients and our team. You’ll never be “just
a number” here.

🌈 Affirming and inclusive by design — We actively create safer spaces for LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and
culturally diverse clients and team members.

What we’re looking for:

Recognised qualifications & registration (AHPRA, SPA, AASW, DEAI, etc.)

Passion for neurodiversity-affirming practice

A warm, flexible and collaborative approach

A curious, playful and respectful approach to working with kids and families

Experience with neurodivergent clients is valued (but we can support learning too!)

What you'll get:

✨ Flexibility: Full-time, part-time, casual hours
✨ A purpose-designed environment with beautiful spaces and resources with genuine input into service design
and direction
✨ Co-work with people who actually care, about their clients, and about you. It's a team culture that’s supportive,
authentic, and values-aligned
✨ Admin systems that make life easier, not harder

The Neuro Nest is based in Raymond Terrace.

Not Sure if You Fit the Mould?

That’s the point. We’re not here to mould you, we’re here to support you to thrive. Whether you're an experienced therapist ready for something different, or an early-career clinician craving the right kind of mentorship, we’d love to meet you.

We look forward to hearing from you so apply to Moira now via the apply now link.
