EXPERIENCE IN A SURGICAL PRACTICE A MUST.
Minimum 5 years experience as a Medical Secretary/P.A
We have an exciting role for a dynamic, extremely organised, process driven, very resilient Executive Assistant/P.A to manage a very busy, highly regarded Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Experience within private surgical rooms is a must, where you understand the demands of managing a high profile surgeon and his very busy practice.
It is desirable you have previous experience in an Executive Assistant role.
The environment is fast paced, high functioning, friendly and very supportive.

Pre-empting the surgeon's requirements when needed
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
Manage EMR software Suite for surgeon and maintain patient records
Provide high level administrative support to medical executives
Handle accreditation paperwork, health fund registrations & fee schedule updates
Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings, prioritise appointments to ensure effective time management
Day to day running of the surgeon's practice delivering high quality administrative care to all patients and their families
Schedule and manage appointments, theatre bookings and patient investigations
Manage busy consulting sessions
Adhere to practice duty of care, confidentiality, and clinical governance standards.
Co-ordinate travel arrangements, conferences and other events
Prepare accurate finance reports for surgeon on request
Banking
Billings with understanding of the healthcare systems ( Medicare, Private Health Insurance & TAC/WorkCover
Prepare, edit and proof-read correspondence
Answer all calls, emails and messages in a timely manner
Diary management
IT skills - preferably with Genie
Good typing skills
HEALTH & SAFETY
Compliance with all safety procedures
Reporting of any hazards to practice manager
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Participation in all ongoing education and professional development activities

The hours are 8.30 - 5pm, 5 days per week, but because of the nature and demands of this position, overtime maybe needed but you will be rewarded with remuneration if you have the right credentials.
