Assistant Manager – Motel Operations

About the Role:

As our 2IC, you’ll be the right hand to the Group Manager, assisting with overseeing the daily running of the property and restaurant. You'll lead by example, ensure high standards of guest service, and help manage staff, reservations, housekeeping, and general operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Group Manager with daily operations and team supervision

A good knowledge of stock control

Overseeing the operations of the award winning restaurant

Ensure exceptional guest experiences

Handle reservations and front desk duties

Assist with staff training and rostering

Perform basic maintenance and property checks

Step up as Acting Manager when required

You will be required to be on call 2 nights per week

Knowledge of Payroll and Accounts Payable/Receivable not necessary, however would be an advantage

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in hospitality or motel/hotel operations

Previous experience in restaurant operations

Strong leadership and communication skills

Hands-on, can-do attitude

Ability to work independently and solve problems

Availability for weekends and rotating shifts

Familiarity with booking system, Roommaster, and Excellent administration systems
