About the role
Join our talented team at the Story Bridge Hotel in Kangaroo Point, QLD as a full-time Assistant Manager. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of this thriving hospitality business. What you'll be doing
- Support the Operations Manager in leading and motivating the hotel team to deliver exceptional customer service
- Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service across all areas of the hotel
- Assist with roster planning, staff training and development to ensure optimal team performance
- Oversee the effective management of hotel inventory, finances and administrative tasks
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and the guest experience
- Be a visible presence on the hotel floor, problem-solving and supporting the team as needed
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations
What we're looking for
- Several years' experience in a similar Assistant Manager or Duty Manager role within the hospitality sector
- Strong leadership, people management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with staff and guests
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using hotel management systems and technology
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
