The Role: As the Quality Systems Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the Shepparton UHT site’s quality function during a peak period of improvement. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you’ll help streamline processes, reduce any system backlogs, and ensure compliance with internal standards and external food safety requirements. This is a hands-on, fast-paced contract role ideal for someone who thrives in quality systems, enjoys coaching others, and knows their way around HACCP and GMP environments.
Duties:
- Support internal stakeholders to manage CARs
- Assist with updates to UHT HACCP documentation and annual test matrix
- Support the redevelopment of GMP and training material
- Provide day-to-day support to the broader Quality team as required
- Identify process and system improvement opportunities to drive accuracy and efficiency
About You: You’ll bring a strong background in food manufacturing, ideally with UHT experience, and a solid understanding of quality and manufacturing systems. You’re proactive, organised, and confident working independently while juggling competing priorities.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in food science, engineering, or a related field (ideal)
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing processes
- UHT experience (preferred but not essential)
- The ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality work to tight timelines
- A flexible and adaptable approach to shifting business needs
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
