Permanent full-time position

$92,990.56 per annum + Superannuation

The City of Bunbury is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Officer – Signature and Community Events to join our team and help promote some of the region’s most exciting events.

As our Marketing Officer, you will take the lead in planning, delivering, and evaluating marketing activities that support the City’s signature events, community programs, and activations. You'll play a key role in shaping the public’s experience of Bunbury as a vibrant place to live, work, and play.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, and implement marketing and communication strategies for the City’s major and community events.

Create and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across traditional and digital platforms, including social media, email marketing, and event promotions.

Work closely with the Events and Communication Community Development teams to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and on brand.

Undertake audience research and analysis to ensure campaigns are targeted and effective.

Manage event branding and promotional collateral including signage, posters, programs, flyers, and merchandise.

Capture and curate content before, during, and after events, including photography and video in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Officer.

Develop and maintain event-specific webpages and social media presence, including regular updates and engagement.

Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing data-driven insights to improve future campaigns.

Support the City’s destination marketing efforts and collaborate with regional stakeholders to increase awareness and visitation.

You’ll succeed if this sounds like you:

You have a post-secondary qualification or extensive relevant experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.

You have demonstrated experience in event marketing or similar fast-paced, community-focused environments.

Your strengths include strong knowledge of current communication tools, including social media platforms, eDMs, and content management systems.

You have a creative mindset with an eye for visual design and attention to detail.

High-level written communication skills.

You display excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

You have a proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritise competing demands.

You are proactive, solutions-focused approach and a passion for promoting community connection.

You area a team player who is able to communicate and collaborate!
