About the Role:

LJ’s Technical Services is seeking a driven and experienced NDT Technician to join our Mackay-based team. We’re after someone who’s not just great at NDT but thrives in a dynamic environment — someone who can think fast, talk to clients, and represent our brand with pride.

You’ll be performing inspections across a range of industries, mainly mining, using Magnetic Particle (MT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) methods. You’ll also help grow our footprint by building client relationships and identifying new opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

ISO 9712 Certification:

MT Level 2 (mandatory)

UT Level 1 (mandatory)

UT Level 2 (preferred) or strong experience working toward it

Current Driver’s Licence

Desirable Skills & Qualities:

Strong MT,UT experience in heavy industry or mining environments

Ability to work autonomously and under pressure

Skilled with digital reporting tools (we use modern platforms)

Comfortable using tablets, email, and reporting software

Confident communicator — able to liaise directly with clients on site

Proactive in identifying new business opportunities and selling our services

Willingness and ability to travel to various sites and projects

A commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
