We are currently seeking a qualified Mechanic to join our fast-paced team!

Eastern Colour is a large family owned and operated farm located in Applethorpe, Qld.

We grow strawberries, apples, and pears for the Queensland and New South Wales market, supplying both major retailers and independent fruit shops.

As a mechanic, you are responsible for working under the direction of our Workshop Manager, ensuring machinery and equipment is maintained, performing repairs and upgrades, and ensuring accurate records are kept. Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring a thorough working knowledge of farm equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Recording of stock items used by workself in your duties in the workshop. Ensuring that these levels are kept at an acceptable level and their storage meets all organisational and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain equipment, machinery and tools for the Workshop area in an organised manner.
• Perform periodic service and preventative maintenance of all farm vehicles, equipment, machinery etc as directed by Workshop Manager.
• Ensure staff are fully trained in all aspects of equipment/vehicle/machinery preventative checks/ prestarts
• Ensure repair and maintenance information is correctly captured.

Pay rate will be commensurate with experience.
