About the role

Ultimate Autocare Jindalee is seeking a full-time Qualified Mechanic or 2nd/3rd/4th year Automotive Apprentice to join our team in Jindalee, QLD. As a member of our Automotive Trades team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for a range of vehicles.

What you'll be doing

Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations

Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues

Test driving vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs

Maintaining detailed records of all work performed

Providing exceptional customer service and advice

Participating in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with industry developments

What we're looking for

Completed apprenticeship or trade certificate in Automotive Mechanics

Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in the Automotive Trades industry

Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified mechanic, or current apprenticeship (2nd year or above)

Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Good communication and customer service abilities

Commitment to workplace health and safety

Reliable and punctual work ethic

Current Queensland Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent certification

Must possess a comprehensive set of professional automotive tools

Valid Australian driver's licence required for test driving vehicles

Must be able to pass a police background check
